Dear Colleagues and Friends in Asian Pacific Endodontic Societies,
Since the “Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation (APEC)” was founded in 1985, and currently almost 4 decades of history is being build.
At the beginning there was only 6 member countries but now we have 23 member societies from all of the Asian Pacific Territory. Also now we have executive “Education” and “International Outreach” committees under the APEC with specific purposes.
The very first established APEC constitution in 1986 had got amendments in 1999 and after that, there has never been updated so far. In the 2021 Biennial General Meeting held Online due to the Covid pandemic, APEC officers and councillors have activated new ByLaws under the Constitution articles. These ByLaws composed of 10 sections clarified and specified the previous articles in the constitution and upon the new ByLaws APEC can do much more effective and efficient activity for our endodontic societies.
It is my honour to have the APEC presidency during the term 2021-2023. I have to convey my deepest gratitude to the Immediate-past President Dr. Mehmet Kayahan and Secretary Dr. Nobuyuki Tani-Ishii for the time and effort he dedicated to make APEC much steadier and also express sincere appreciation to all the officers and councillors for their support for the APEC continuity.
I am very much privileged to serve as the President of our organization. I will lead to make fruitful term of APEC history together with Secretary Dr. Mohsen Ramazani, Treasurer Dr. Francis Chan, Chair of Education committee Dr. Sanjay Miglani, Chair of International Outreach committee Dr. Muna Al-Ali and all the councillors under the kind guidance of honorary life members.
APEC is always being close to you as friends and colleagues in global endodontic society to reach the aims
1) To promote, develop and maintain high standards of endodontic research, teaching and clinical practice in the Asian Pacific region, and
2) To cultivate and foster closer professional relationships of the endodontic practitioners within the Asian Pacific region.
Thank you,
Warmest regards,
